Social Media Lead Machine Review – Blake Nubar

Spread the love

If you have ever expressed an interest in digital marketing on Facebook then I am sure you can’t have escaped being targeted by ads for The Social Media Lead Machine by Blake Nubar.

You can see an example of one of his ads right here.

Now as any good digital marketer knows, getting traffic to your website is one of the most important tasks you have every day and social media is one of the best places to go to for getting traffic.

Heidi and I have been getting quite good results with promoting our business on Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest but we are always interested to learn new ways and so when I saw this advert from Blake Nubar which promised to show how I could siphon organic leads off of social media I decided to take a closer look.

As you can see from the ad, the concept looks very appealing – you only need to use your social media profile, it only takes 90 minutes to set up and it requires ZERO complicated Tech.

OK Blake – it sounds great! But Does It Deliver On What It Promises?

The Social Media Lead Machine – What It Promises

If you click on the ad you will be taken to the sales page which looks like this:

This was one of the first warning bells for me. You see, the initial sales message was all about leveraging traffic from social media in general, whereas now we are looking at “Hacking Your Facebook Profile” for leads.

Reading on down the sales page we see a number of promises and claims being made. These include:

  • Unlimited Free Traffic From Social Media
  • Perfect For Beginners & Professionals
  • Works For ANY Type Of Business
  • It doesn’t require any special skills, and it doesn’t involve running any ads
  • You Can Drive On-Demand Traffic From Your Smartphone!

This all sounds good and is exactly the sort of traffic generation system that we are looking for.

Blake Nubar goes on to explain that the system can actually be boiled down into 3 steps which are:

  1. Optimize Your Profile
  2. Connect Your Funnel
  3. Drive FREE Traffic

Fantastic! And you get all of this for just $7.00 !!

OK I had to have a look so I paid my money and got the Blueprint.

The Social Media Lead Machine – What It Delivers

The delivery of the product all went very smoothly and professionally and I was really looking forward to reading the blueprint and implementing this new social media traffic strategy.

Unfortunately I have to say that I was really disappointed and the Blueprint failed to deliver on any of the promises made in the sales page.

Instead of being a strategy on how to drive traffic from social media, it appears to be nothing more than a walk through on how to set up a funnel using Clickfunnels.

The sections included in the Blueprint are:

Introduction: A description of the blueprint and what it is aiming to teach you.

Section 1: Choose your bait. All about creating a lead magnet for your funnel

Section 2: Modify your funnel. All about choosing brand colours, graphics, a mock up of your lead magnet and some social proof

Section 3: Add your sales copy. How to write a headline, creating hooks, about you, calls to action and thank you pages.

Section 4: Put Finishing Touches: Optimising your funnel for mobile, adding SEO meta data, and editing your mail

Section 5: Enhanced Facebook Profile. Choosing a Facebook cover photo, a Facebook featured photo and optimizing your Facebook profile. (At last some social media stuff but sadly very little in the way of detail on how to use it to drive traffic)

Section 6: Launch. A checklist for your funnel and then getting in launched.

And that is the entirety of what is included in the Social Media Lead machine.

Don’t get me wrong – I am not saying that the content is bad. It’s actually not bad and there is some interesting reading here on how to set up a funnel for your business.

However I bought this blueprint because I was promised that I would be shown how to drive traffic from social media and on that score it completely fails to deliver in my opinion.

The sales message is all about traffic from social media – but the product itself is almost entirely about building a funnel (and using Clickfunnels to do so which is an extremely expensive way to build a funnel if you are just starting out as a digital marketer)

The blueprint also features an upsell (as you would expect) and it appears to be a live training demonstration of the system outlined in the blueprint and is priced at $197. This is promoted both during the sales process and in the email follow-ups.

The sales pitch for this refers to it being “The Same Exact System That Generated $25,000 In Just 9 Days” There are plenty of testimonials available which is interesting but based on my experience with the Blueprint I decided to give it a miss.

Is It A Scam?

To me a scam is where someone deliberately tries to take your money and doesn’t deliver what they promised in return for it.

I wouldn’t label the Social Media Lead Machine as a scam because you do get a professionally created blueprint which has some genuine training included. The problem is that it’s just not what I feel I was led to believe I would get.

If you are looking for a product to help you drive traffic with social media then I would have to say I DO NOT recommend the Social Media Lead Machine.

What’s The Alternative?

Heidi and I are often asked what program we recommend to people who want to get started in an online business and we always recommend that you choose one of two proven methods for building an online business.

  1. Hi David! I also came across an ad promoting Social Media Lead Machine and was excited about it. However I’ve learnt to research before I join any product online, and I’m glad I landed on your post. Thank you very much for your honest review, not calling it a scam but specifically stating that it was not what you had in mind when you joined this site. I’ll better check the alternative you presented. Thanks!

    1. Hi Ann

Yes I think it would be harsh to call it a scam but it’s definitely not what I was led to believe it would be when I purchased it. The Content is fine – just not what I was expecting.

I hope you enjoy learning about the two alternatives we suggest.

      Thanks

      David

      1. Hey David..
thanks for the wonderful review of SMLM ..
Well, as alternative your mentioned what products to promote while starting online business.. as the theme of the post was is How to get organic leads off of social media profile…
so can you pls share your views on best training to Get organic leads off of social media. ??

        thanks

        1. Hi Rajat
Thanks for stopping by to read my review and leave a comment.
As I said in the article above I recommend the Wealthy Affiliate training program for anyone interested in starting a digital marketing business. It has a comprehensive training on using social media as well as training on how to build an online business from scratch.

          Regards
          Dave

  2. What absolute BS this program is and I fell for it.

I wouldn’t label the Social Media Lead Machine as a scam because you do get a professionally created blueprint which has some genuine training included. The problem is that it’s just not what I feel I was led to believe I would get.

That’s exactly how I feel and when I requested a refund within the allotted 14 day time frame they showed me their fine print that says if you consume more than 40% of the course you are not eligible for a refund.

Just that in itself says a lot about Blake Nubar and his mindset.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from Blake Nubar and SOCIAL MEDIA LEAD MACHINE MASTERCLASS.

    1. Hi
I’m sorry to hear about your bad experience with Social media lead machine.
It’s bad when marketers try to avoid doing the right thing by hiding behind some sort of loophole in their fine print. I always offer a 100% refund guarantee with my products as I want people to either love them or have their money back.
I don’t recommend this product either based on my own experience.
      Cheers
      David

  3. I had a very different experience with the Social Media Lead Machine than what’s mentioned here. The tools, templates, and step-by-step training are actually spectacular. One of the simplest and easiest to execute trainings I’ve ever experienced. I also don’t think the sales page is misleading. It almost entirely talks about “transforming your profile into a sales funnel” which it effectively does. It only mentions traffic strategies a couple times (and in a vague way). In no way was I expecting a social media traffic course. Well worth the price in my opinion, but I can only speak from my personal experience!

    1. Hi Alex
I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment – however since you are actually trying to promote the product then I have to wonder at how unbiased your opinion actually is…
In my experience of the product (I paid for it so I am speaking from experience) it was completely different from what was described in the sales page. I’m not saying it was bad – it’s just not what I expected to recieve, based on the claims in the sales page.
However – we are all entitled to our opinion – and this is mine.
      Regards
      David

  4. Well David,
You are accusing Alex of getting on here to promote the product(.although i don’t see any affiliate link ) but the fact of the matter is that this review is written so that you can promote your alternatives so then it leaves me wondering how unbiased your opinion is.It is a very well known strategy.

    1. Hi Paul
Thanks for taking the time to comment.
My opinion is based on my personal experience of the product – as clearly stated in the review.

  5. David, are you not actively trying to promote Wealthy Affiliate? You are throwing stones at Alex when you are doing the same thing. The SMLM is an excellent tool to help with organic traffic. Does it run on “auto pilot”? No, you have to be actively talking and engaging in groups and posting content that generates buzz. Is it worth grabbing and implementing? Yes, you are foolish not to.

    1. Hi Stephen
Thanks very much for reading my review and taking the time to comment.
I simply highlighted the fact that Alex is promoting SMLM – that is stating a fact, not throwing stones.
My review of SMLM is based on my personal experience of it – I actually bought it – I am not summarising the reviews of others.
Do I believe that Wealthy Affiliate is a much better option? Absolutely!!!

      Regards
      David

      1. I don’t believe Wealthy affiliate is a better alternative. I was a subscriber for months, i know what i am talking about

        1. Hi Ade
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
Perhaps you could explain why you don’t believe Wealthy Affiliate is a better alternative to Social Media Lead Machine since you know what you’re talking about…

          Thanks
          David

  6. Hi Dave,

Thank you for this review. I almost fell for it, because Blake even sent me personal messages urging me to buy the product, I just decided to check for a review and thank God that i landed on your site.
I am not putting a dime into this falsehood.
    Thanks.
    Michael

    1. Hi Michael
No worries at all – glad you found the review useful.
I definitely think there are better places to invest your money

      Dave

  7. Have you ever watched Blake’s webinar?
It was an hour and a half of free amazing content.
    The guy is a genius.
Anyone who understands marketing and scripts can see that this post just actually used a famous tool like SMLM to drive traffic to this website and sell whichever product they posted about 3 or 4 times in the middle of the post.

    1. Hi
Thanks for stopping by to read my review.
I have actually purchased this product – as I made clear in the review.
This review is a description of my actual experience of using the product.
It’s interesting that your comment talks about a webinar which is actually nothing to do with the subject of this post.

      Cheers
      Dave

  8. Well, I am sure so disappointed in Blake Nubar, I should have done my due diligence first, but I went and trusted him, as he seemed like an honest guy, he sure is a great marketer, he knows how to speak and get people to sign up. I actually bought his Partnership program as well for $997, but he has also coaches working for him (which I should call them ‘sales people’) so they ask you to book a coaching call. I was then thinking of getting refunded, before the 14 days were up, as I couldn’t quite understand what was being offered, but the coach insisted to give him time to coach me and then I could make my decision, well of course, I fell into the trap, and got into the Accelerator Program, which is US $7K (for me $10K Cad.). which includes: mockups done for you, email marketing, 6 weeks of coaching to help you set up your funnel (which I must say is not organized at all), and 6 months (one per month) zoom meeting with Blake, some training and some other stuff. But if you are just starting out, and this they don’t tell you, you need to subscribe to clickfunnels which is $97 per month (Cad. $130. appr.). But after a couple of months with no returns, I couldn’t continue, so I had to pause clickfunnels otherwise I would lose my funnel if I cancel completely. But I do have intention of cancelling, as I will not continue with this.
In his marketing campaign, he says it is for anyone, even newbies, no way, you have to already know what you are doing, not that easy for newbies. I find it is a lot of hype, really not worth that money.
Have been trying to get a partial refund, and his account manager won’t let me speak to Blake personally, and keeps refusing to give me anything. Even I told him, I wasn’t going to use the system, to just charge me for what they had done for me so far, but can’t get anything from him. They have now banned me from posting or commenting in their Facebook group, and I have always been professional, never posted anything negative about it.
So very deceiving, don’t spend any money on this program, unless you are already a seasoned marketer.

    1. Hi there.
Sorry to hear about your experience and it sounds like a pretty harsh learning experience. It’s very disappointing when the true cost of something is kept from you until after you have signed up and then it’s impossible to try to get a refund.
Hopefully you will have better luck in future.
      Kind Regards
      David

  9. Yep, I had a similar experience as Line… tried it, didn’t work, and can’t get a refund. I agree, too, that the “coaches” you talk with are nothing more than sales people who convince you to keep going even when you have no product, no idea what you’re doing, and it’s obvious it won’t work for you – all things I didn’t realize until it was too late. Collection notice reminds me that I still owe them $5K+ all for a system that didn’t work. Wish I could have that money back now, so I could invest in things that work and that I care about, but it’s too late now. But buyer beware: don’t get sucked in by the “it’s so easy anyone can do it!” crap, and avoid this “system” like the plague. There are better ways of earning money – passive or not – and many of them won’t cost you $7-10K in debt and bitter regrets.

    1. Hi Krista
Sorry to hear about your experience. Losing that amount of money is a pretty sore experience.
I hope you find a way to get over it and start something that works.
I’m happy to talk to you any time if it helps

      Dave
